Neighbourhood Relationships
Home Plate Food BankHome Street Mennonite Church is a community drop-off point for Winnipeg Harvest, the city-wide food bank. Volunteers from the congregation staff Home Plate from 4 to 6 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Only people who have registered their need for food hampers with Winnipeg Harvest can pick up their food at Home Plate. |
Coffee and ConversationEvery Sunday morning throughout the year, Home Street volunteers provide a simple Sunday morning breakfast for folks who wish to drop by for coffee, tea, sandwiches and conversation. We seek to provide a safe, caring and accepting environment for our visitors. We do not distribute emergency food on Sunday mornings. |
