Small groups at Home Street Mennonite Church are open to everyone! They foster deeper friendships, spiritual growth, and a place to belong. They are a great place to care for others and be cared for, a place to share our joys and concerns. They are a place to learn and to grow.
Home Street offers a variety of small group experiences. Every fall we announce new groups and study topics as well as continuing older groups. Groups include book studies, supper groups, seniors gatherings, Bible studies, a prayer group, and a parents group. Check in fall for new small group opportunities.

A Place to Grow A Place to Belong A Place to Share
New: Enneagram Study: The enneagram is an ancient geometric symbol that indicates nine fundamental personality types of human nature and their complex interrelationships. This group is a chance to look into this system a little more deeply. We will start with a review of the types and move on to discuss the movements of the enneagram, the head, heart and gut centres and our subtypes.
Val Regehr will lead 4 session in March, times TBA.
Middle Women is a group for women in their 40s or 50s who are single or married, with children or not... The group is for those interested in coffee and conversation around the issues, challenges, awareness and growth that comes at this middle stage of life. The group meets once a month with a relaxed intentionality and may choose a book to help guide conversations.
Indigenous Settler Relations Group is mandated by Leadership council to engage our congregation in events, activities and learning processes that support reconciliation between Indigenous and Settler people. The group meets every six weeks or so to share learnings, plan actions, and discern how we as individuals and as HSMC are called to participate in the Reconciliation movement.
Supper Groups share meals and conversation together about once a month.
A Bible Study Group meets twice a month for study of scripture and conversations of faith.
The Men’s Prayer Group gathers for morning prayer every Friday, 7:15 - 7:45 am. Prayers are focused around Take Our Moments and Our Days: An Anabaptist Prayer Book.
The Senior's Group meets monthly from September to May for visiting, sharing food, and devotionals.
The Parent’s Group, for parents and young children, meets weekly.
The Young Families Group has a variety of gatherings each month. Men meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month for Lectio Devina and conversation; the women meet the 3rd Thursday of the month. Once a month families gather for a potluck.
