Sunday School:
Sunday School is an important component of the intergenerational life and spiritual growth of Home Street Mennonite Church. We have classes for children age 3 and up and for youth.

Adult Education:

In Adult Education classes, we study Biblical texts, explore contemporary issues from a faith perspective, and share stories of faith. It is a place to learn, question, and dialogue about living faithfully in our time. Adult Education is currently happening on Zoom. Please call the office for details.

Worship:
In worship, we commit to opening ourselves to God’s presence and participating in multi-voiced, wholehearted, transformative worship led by the Holy Spirit. We sing our praises to God; we confess our sins and trust in God’s grace; we listen for God’s word to us in scripture, story, and meditation; we share our joys and concerns; and we pray for one another and for the world. Our services are about an hour long, and we’d love to have you join us.

Through the Week

Youth Programs:
The Senior Youth Program (grades 9 through 12) and the Junior Youth Program (grades 6 through 8) run twice a month from September to June. The events focus on community building, faith formation, and service.

Young Adults:
About once a month, young adults gather for a potluck lunch, barbecue, movie night, or conversation about faith and current issues. The ideas and initiatives of young adults themselves shape these events.

Small Groups:
Small groups at Home Street Mennonite Church are open to everyone! They foster deeper friendships, spiritual growth, and a place to belong. Small groups include supper and conversation groups, Bible studies, seniors' gatherings, prayer groups, and more.

I'm new here

We warmly welcome you to visit us!

You will find parking on the streets around the church, and for cyclists, there is a bike rack right in front of the church. We have a loading zone in front of the church, a grade level entrance, an elevator, and accessible, gender-neutral washrooms. Greeters will welcome you when you arrive and help you find your way around. Our bulletins provide information about the worship service, so you can easily follow along and participate. People of all ages are welcome, and we enjoy the noise and activity of the children among us. If parents do need to leave the service with their children, there is a room available where children can play, and parents can listen to the service.

Wondering what to wear? Whatever makes you feel comfortable.
We’re a pretty welcoming, relaxed community, and we hope you will feel at home.
