As a people who have experienced the love and grace of God and who desire to follow Jesus, we seek to be an open, caring community of faith. Home Street Mennonite welcomes people of any race, age, ability, income, family status, gender identity, and sexual orientation. We commit to growing together into a safe, inclusive, and diverse congregation.
We acknowledge that we gather and worship on the ancestral lands of First Nations and Metis Peoples. We respect the treaties that were made on these territories. We acknowledge the harms committed in the past and those that continue today. We dedicate ourselves to being Treaty People and moving forward in right relationship.

Focus statement: As we continue our series on the gifts of the global church, we also look ahead to the Mennonite World Conference Assembly that is scheduled for later this year in Indonesia. Today’s service will give us a preview of the theme that will be used there, “Following Jesus Together.” Our time of worship will include sharing and stories of how we have been blessed by the global Anabaptist church, and will include gathering at the Lord’s Table.

Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the community, the Pandemic Guidance Group has decided to hold Sunday worship services on Zoom until at least February 6. This allows those who are leading to remain safe in their homes rather than gathering in the sanctuary. Although public health guidelines would allow us to meet with limited capacity, we have made this decision out of care and concern for our community, our health care system, and the many dedicated people who work in health care.
